Rural Tourism International Conference:

Tourism is one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide, with increasing interest in nature, healthy environments, traditions, gastronomy, culture, and history. All these elements create the foundation for rural tourism.

The rich and diverse nature, unique traditions, culture, authentic environment, cuisine, and hospitable population of Adjara make it an ideal destination for rural tourism development. Protected areas and diverse tourist products in Adjara attract travelers of all types, with interest in mountainous Adjara growing every year.

The International Conference on Rural Tourism focuses on the development prospects of rural tourism, attracting visitors from various countries, and fostering interest in rural tourism. Its main goal is to bring together people involved in rural tourism, including entrepreneurs, representatives of the public and private sectors, for discussions and networking.

The conference attracts both Georgian and foreign experts, owners of guesthouses, travel agencies, and representatives of rural and eco-tourism sectors, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations. Over two days, the conference features presentations, lectures, seminars, discussions, and field visits to the tourist routes in the Adjara region.

Participation in the conference is free, but electronic registration is required. The conference topics change annually, with the Rural Tourism Conference having already taken place three times in Adjara.
